Arizona's state legislature and Governor Jan Brewer has signed the Senate Bill 1070 (SB 1070), this Bill would require state law enforcement agents (local police) to question individuals about their immigration status if the officer has a "reasonable suspicion" that they are undocumented. An individual who cannot provide proof of legal status might be subject to ARREST!.

The Fact Sheet of SB 1070 can be read online at http://www.azleg.gov/legtext/49leg/2r/summary/s.1070pshs.doc.htm
